Celebrating Romance

... half asleep and popping ibuprofen and tylenol every 4 hours (don't worry, I regulated it).

After our wonderful week in Washington Bjorn became sick.  It was my turn to plan something for Valentines' day, so I made reservations at Braza Grill (Bjorn loves meat).   He didn't look like he felt too good, but insisted on going out, mostly because I had planned it all out for us.  What a trooper.   (he knows how much I love planning and sticking to plans too!)  The food and entertainment were great, by the way.  I was just sad Bjorn wasn't feeling 100%, as evidenced by the smaller-than-I would-have-guessed amount of meat he packed away that night.
Luckily the rest of our plans involved staying home.   We had homemade Italian sodas; something we miss from Washington.
They are sort of becoming a tradition for V-day (BTW we made sure to have real ones while IN Washington, and boy were they good.).  Then I turned our bedroom into a cruise ship, complete with towel animals, gift shop, and masseuse.  We went on a cruise for our Honeymoon and absolutely LOVED the adventure, it is fun to reminisce.  I had planned for Bjorn to go to the store and get me something for the Italian sodas I "accidentally" forgot  but he was feeling so yucky and so exhausted that we went to the store together, I ran inside and got the items, then at home he waited in the car while I got the surprise ready.  What a good sport.

And perhaps that's what true love is:  supporting one another, being there for each other, taking care of each other when sick or feeling down, knowing what your other half likes, and doing everything in your power to put their happiness above your own.
