Traditions of October

1.  Pumpkin carving... self explanatory

Bjorn's pumpkin- by far the coolest
2.  Pumpkin cookies!
Sugar cookies cut out to look like pumpkins with orange frosting and candy corns.  This is a family tradition for the Murray's dating back three generations.  The key ingredient is the candy corn faces.  Years back all the faces looked the same but as time went on it became the cool thing to make your face is as different as possible something we now pride ourselves on.  Our cookie making event this year was a 25 person ordeal at Sunday dinner club.  I suddenly did not get any pictures.  However- here is Gabriel helping us find the right pumpkin cookie-cutter.

3. Gardner Village.  Okay, so I actually have only been here once before, but why not make it a tradition?  The witch fest was a great girls day out.  Well three girls and their five kids- we definitely are numbered.  And we love it.

4.  Warren Miller.  The epic ski movie has been a tradition ever since we were married.    We go every October.  Usually in Park City.   We make a "staycation" out of it- enjoying a nice dinner in Park City Main Street.   It was difficult to include Gabriel in this one.  But we did it.  Gabe did great at  dinner!  But not so much during the show.   Next year I'm opting for baby-sitting swapping.
